The Pittsburgh Steelers are among a few potential suitors for a highly experienced offensive lineman.

The Pittsburgh Steelers could soon bolster their new-look offensive line with a highly-experienced veteran.

According to ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler, free agent guard Dalton Risner wants to take multiple visits before making a decision on where he wants to play in 2025 and the Steelers are a consideration, along with the Cincinnati Bengals and Seattle Seahawks.

Risner, 30, would be a fantastic addition for Pittsburgh’s depth with 81 career starts under his belt. However, the Bengals and Seahawks have something the Steelers can’t offer: A starting job.

The Steelers starting five offensive linemen seem to be set with left tackle Broderick Jones, left guard Isaac Seumalo, center Zach Frazier, right guard Mason McCormick and right tackle Troy Fautanu. They also have former seventh-round guard Spender Anderson, who has continued to develop nicely.

Risner would still be an upgrade, though. He began his NFL career as the No. 41 overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos and has lived up to expectations over the past six years.

In 2024, Risner was limited to just 10 games with the Minnesota Vikings, but he didn’t give up a single sack and allowed just 16 pressures in 537 snaps, per Pro Football Focus.

Seumalo, 31, has also had some injuries concerns throughout his career and has been battling an injury all training camp while McCormick still has much to prove heading into his second year.

It will be difficult for Pittsburgh to make a better case to Risner than Cincinnati and Seattle but should certainly do its due diligence with a chance to add some valuable experience to its young offensive line.
