The Titans had a heavy contingent on hand to take in Cam Ward’s Pro Day at Miami.
It seems all but certain that the Tennessee Titans are planning on taking Cam Ward with the first pick in the 2025 NFL Draft:
They had Chad Brinker, Mike Borgonzi, Reggie McKenzie, Dave Ziegler, Brian Callahan, Nick Holz, and Bo Hardegree all on hand for the festivities at Miami this afternoon:
Ward did not throw at the NFL Combine but did throw at his Pro Day today. Here are some of the highlights from the workout:
The arm strength was really on display here. It should come as no surprise that he looked good in these drills. He has all of the physical skills he needs to be a really good NFL quarterback. The only thing that is in question is the decision making. Can the Titans, or whatever team ends up drafting him, cut down on the turnovers that were a big problem for him at times at Miami?
It was also reported that the Titans took him out to dinner last night ahead of the workout today. They are no doubt doing their due diligence to be sure that he is the guy they want leading their franchise.
I have said all along that I would like for them to trade the pick because of how many holes they have on the roster, but they should absolutely take Ward if they are convinced he can be a franchise quarterback. You have nothing until you have a quarterback. If he is it, they can figure out the rest over the next couple of drafts.
