New England Patriots - NESN.com
The New England Patriots will be debuting a brand new look Thursday night when they host the New York Jets in primetime.
Bring on the Nor’Easter jerseys. As part of the NFL’s “Rivalries” program, the Patriots will wear “Storm Blue” jersey tops and have a snow-white helmet — all as an homage to the climate this time of year in New England.
We were skeptical at first about this look, but after seeing more photos come out, we’re sold. The same can be said for the players who will be rocking these jerseys Thursday night.
As ESPN’s Mike Reiss tweeted from the Patriots locker room, safety Jaylinn Hawkins is excited.
“Probably the nicest uniform I’ve worn in my whole football career,” Hawkins said.
“They’re dope; the color scheme. Has a lot of aura to it.”
As for cornerback Christian Gonzalez, he’s excited for the extra juice this look will provide the team.
“I feel like it’s going to be good energy in the stadium just from that,” Gonzalez said.
“Giving the fans a different uniform we haven’t worn. But more importantly, we’re focused on the game.”
It’s good that the Patriots are focused on the Jets, but they’ll also look really good as they (hopefully) beat them on Thursday night.
