Buffalo Rumblings
A week after their “Hard Knocks” debut on HBO Max, the Buffalo Bills are back in the spotlight this evening with episode 2 of their in-depth look at training camp. The first episode was chock full of feel-good moments, highlighted a reunion featuring cornerback Tre’Davious White and left tackle Dion Dawkins’ children. Plus, White found his name attached to a new offering at Pittsford Farms Dairy, the “Tredae Sundae.”
Other memorable moments showed a bit of Dawkins’ off-field life, Allen working through drills with Joshua Palmer, and even wide receiver K.J. Hamler’s Target excursion to find an electric scooter. One of the most interesting segments featured co-owner Terry Pegula and reigning NFL MVP quarterback Josh Allen touring the grounds of the new Highmark Stadium, with a notable conversation about wind.
“Hard Knocks” has promised Bills Mafia and NFL fans an unprecedented look behind the curtain of the inner workings within Buffalo’s summer home at St. John Fisher University. To this point, it’s proven to be a success — no doubt helped by the presence of Allen.
Who will the the “Hard Knocks” crew focus in on for tonight’s episode? There are plenty of big personalities, especially along Buffalo’s revamped defensive line. Audiences tune in for star power, so you can be certain that Allen will once again play a key role. But so, too, may running back James Cook.
Cook finally returned to practice after a hold-in that began during the last week of training camp, and ended only today, August 12. Depending on the content shared, footage could feature Cook fully participating, or not. Also dependent on the film is when or if viewers get a closer look at the team’s annual Return of the Blue & Red scrimmage. Unfortunately, there’s also plenty of injury angles to explore.
