The offseason has been a polarizing subject for the Pittsburgh Steelers. While some have applauded their blockbuster moves, some have said they are without “a plan.” On Tuesday, Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss expects big things from Pittsburgh in 2025.

Moss knows all about playing with a generational quarterback. He played against the Steelers’ long-time foe, Tom Brady, from 2007 to 2010. When discussing big years expected for receivers, Moss didn’t hesitate to mention DK Metcalf in connection with Aaron Rodgers.

“I think when you look at the wide receiver [position] … think a guy that’s going to have a phenomenal year. I look for a big year out of Pittsburgh,” Moss started. “Because of Aaron Rodgers.”

Moss stated that Rodgers is now two years removed from a season-ending injury–the true it takes to “feel” ready to go.” He said, though, it wasn’t just Rodgers as the reason. In fact, the Steelers’ big receiver acquisition will only help the quarterback.

“I look for a big year out of Aaron Rodgers and the reason why? A guy like DK Metcalf,” He said as he praised the Steelers’ seventh-year veteran. “I’m excited about D. in Pittsburgh … excited about Aaron, and that defense with Tomlin.”

The Hall of Fame receiver covered what the Steelers have banked on: a proven receiver, a proven quarterback, and proven defenders. Whether or not it brings success remains to be seen. However, Moss knows as well as any receiver the boost a future Hall of Famer quarterback can elevate a team.
