With the Green Bay Packers finishing with the second-worst record among NFL playoff teams, following their loss and the loss of the Carolina Panthers in the wild-card round, the team will now officially send the 20th overall pick, their original first-round pick, to the Dallas Cowboys for the Micah Parsons trade. As a reminder, the Packers will also be down their 2027 first-round pick, too, for the same trade.

This also means that Green Bay’s first selection of the 2026 NFL Draft is locked in. The Packers’ top draft choice will be the 52nd overall pick in next year’s draft.

Below is the projected draft pick slots for the Packers in 2026, based on Over the Cap’s compensatory pick selections.

Packers’ 2026 draft picks

  • 2nd round (original): 52nd
  • 3rd round (original): 84th
  • 4th round (original): 120th
  • 5th round (original): 159th
  • 6th round (original): 200th
  • 7th round (original): 236th
  • 7th round (compensatory – Josh Myers): 254th
  • 7th round (compensatory – Eric Wilson): 257th

The Packers could have received two more compensatory picks this offseason with defensive tackle T.J. Slaton (sixth-round pick) and cornerback Eric Stokes (seventh-round pick) leaving, but those losses in free agency were offset by Green Bay signing guard Aaron Banks and cornerback Nate Hobbs.

As of right now, the current projections have the Packers owning the Mr. Irrelevant pick, the final selection of the draft, with the seventh-round compensatory pick the team should receive for losing Eric Wilson.

Packers’ 2027 draft picks

In 2027, the team holds all their original selections other than their first-round pick (Parsons trade) and their seventh-round pick (Darian Kinnard trade). Depending on who they re-sign, they could add the following selections, based on contract projections for their upcoming free agents:

  • 4th round pick: LT Rasheed Walker
  • 5th round pick: LB Quay Walker
  • 5th round pick: WR Romeo Doubs
  • 5th round pick: QB Malik Willis
  • 6th round pick: C/G Sean Rhyan
  • 6th/7th round pick: DE Kingsley Enagbare

The Packers will only be awarded a maximum of four compensatory draft picks in 2027 for losses in 2026 unrestricted free agency. Don’t expect the team to do much in free agency, no matter who the coach is in 2026, because of their cap situation and the way they’ll want to protect those compensatory selections.
