The Packers will wear a “Rivalries” uniform against a divisional rival next year
Lost in the mix of all the draft news, Nike and the NFL have announced a new venture. According to a Nike press release, they and the NFL have partnered on an “NFL Rivalries” program that will see each team receive a “community-inspired” uniform over the next four seasons.
Per the press release, the AFC East and NFC West will wear these uniforms in 2025, the AFC South and NFC North will get them in 2026, the NFC East and AFC West will get them in 2027 and the AFC North and NFC South will get them in 2028. So the Green Bay Packers will receive their new uniforms next year.
The plan, according to Nike, is for each team to wear these uniforms before their first “rivalry game” of the year. So the Packers will wear them “during a single home game against a division rival.” The uniforms “will be included in their team’s uniform lineup for three years after introduction, in addition to existing alternate uniforms.”
So Green Bay will have the option to wear their base uniforms, their “Winter Warning” uniforms, throwback options or this new “Rivalries” uniform from 2026 to 2028.
Your guess is as good as mine, as far as what these new uniforms will look like.
