NFL fans are teeing off on Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones after noticing something unusual about the team’s first training camp session.
On Tuesday morning, Cowboys reporter Jon Machota of The Athletic posted a video of the team beginning its training camp in Oxnard, California. Surprisingly, very few fans came out to watch America’s Team today:

As one of America’s most beloved sports franchises, the stands are usually full for Cowboys practices. So it’s certainly noteworthy that the stands were empty, especially on the first day of training camp.
Social media wasted no time ripping on Jerry Jones after seeing Machota’s video:
“Good, Jerry doesn’t deserve to see the stands filled,” one fan wrote.

Indeed, things have been frustrating for the Dallas Cowboys fanbase since the team last won it all in the 1995 season. Jerry Jones remains adamant that he’s the right person to sit in the GM chair, even if a lack of playoff success over the last three decades suggests otherwise.
For the second straight offseason, Jones didn’t make many notable moves despite a Jan. 2024 promise to go “all in.” If Dallas endures another tough year in 2025, the fed-up fans will continue to scream for changes.
The Cowboys will kick off the Brian Schottenheimer on Sept. 4, when they visit the archrival Philadelphia Eagles in the season opener at Lincoln Financial Field.
