Browns’ Myles Garrett gives opponents sleepless nights. Can the 49ers contain him? (paywall)
“Right tackle Colton McKivitz compared the level of attention Garrett requires to that of Aaron Donald, one of the best defensive tackles to ever play the sport. Expect a lot of double- and perhaps even triple-teaming.
Williams, 37, fielded a question earlier this week about whether he had lost sleep ahead of his impending matchup with Garrett.
“Not yet, but I’m sure I will,” Williams said. “Nah, I lied. Yeah I have.”

“The 49ers carved out a big nickel back role for him, so he could stay involved along with his special teams role.
“He did everything that we asked and was even helping the young kid, Sigle, trying to get him squared away,” Saleh said.
Brown earned back his starting job in Week 5 and has “improved every single week,” Saleh said. “Definitely wanting to make sure that he can slam the door and make sure that he leaves no doubt that he’s the safety.”
The 25-year-old said he never thought twice about helping out Sigle after he was benched.
“That’s just being God-driven, man,” he said. “You know, we all in this locker room, we don’t control who’s starting this week and who’s getting benched this week. Our job is to come here and execute as a team. Whatever I can pour into the young guys, I try to pour into them, whether I’m on the field or off the field, the situation doesn’t change.”
Brown and the 49ers defense did a job of disguising their coverages against Panthers quarterback Bryce Young, which should set them up well against Cleveland Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders on Sunday. On that first interception Monday, Young started to run for the score before stopping to throw, and Brown was ready for that, too.“

“Graham is being elevated for the second week in a row due to an ankle injury suffered by starter Tatum Bethune. On Monday night, Graham played seven snaps, all on special teams. He did not record any tackles.”
