The New York Giants may have to get their house in order before a Week 13 matchup against the New England Patriots.

As the Patriots earned their ninth straight win on Sunday, the Giants suffered their sixth straight loss. For the fifth time this season, Big Blue blew a late double-digit lead on the road.

One of their star players spoke for many disgruntled Giants fans when bashing the team’s decision-making. Wide receiver Malik Nabers, who’s out for the season with a torn ACL, eviscerated his organization in a since-deleted tweet on Sunday.

“Sometimes I think they (are) makin us lose on purpose! Cause it’s no way, bro,” Nabers wrote, courtesy of The Athletic’s Dan Duggan. “You throw the ball instead of runnin it to make em burn two timeouts?? Then you (don’t) kick the field goal??? Then they have to go down and score!!! Football common sense!!!! Am I missing something?”

The Giants were up 27-17 over the Detroit Lions early in the fourth quarter, but they squandered another potential win after leaving a 14-play drive with no points.

Ahead by three at the goal line, an incomplete second-down pass stopped the clock with 3:11 remaining. The Giants unsuccessfully attempted a fourth down at the 6-yard line, allowing Lions kicker Jake Bates to send the game into overtime with a 59-yard field goal.

The Patriots can take another step toward an AFC East title with a win next Monday night. On the other hand, the Giants are already eliminated from playoff contention.

Weeks after firing head coach Brian Daboll, the Giants dismissed defensive coordinator Shane Bowen on Monday. Mike Vrabel won’t face his former Tennessee Titans DC when the Patriots seek their 11th victory.
