New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart showed off his rocket of an arm in an Instagram video that has quickly gone viral.
The Giants traded up via the Houston Texans to select the Ole Miss signal-caller with the No. 25 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. Dart was the second QB selected, 24 spots after Cam Ward went first overall to the Tennessee Titans.
In a recent Instagram story post, Jaxson Dart shared a video of him throwing an absolute bomb to his friend while riding a jet ski. The friend couldn’t come up with the ball, but Dart’s incredible release is what made this video epic:

After Jaxson Dart was drafted, Giants head coach Brian Daboll stated that veteran Russell Wilson would be the starting quarterback. Jameis Winston, whom the Giants signed before picking up Wilson, is the No. 2 QB on the depth chart.
The 36-year-old Wilson signed a one-year deal worth $10.5 million after a frustrating end to his 2024 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In 11 games, Wilson threw for 2,482 yards and 16 touchdowns against five interceptions.
Winston opened the 2024 season as the Cleveland Browns’ backup quarterback to Deshaun Watson. Winston wound up playing seven games, going 2-5 with 13 touchdowns against 12 interceptions.
Wilson may not be in his prime anymore, but he’s still an average-to-above-average starter. If he doesn’t cut it for the Giants, they can always turn to Winston as a short-term option.
With two veteran quarterbacks in place, the Giants don’t have to rush Jaxson Dart’s development. They can take their time grooming the Ole Miss product before handing him the starting job in 2026.
