The New York Giants are currently participating in offseason workouts as they prepare for the upcoming NFL season. The Giants are hoping for a healthier season in 2026 after injuries shook them in 2025, including multiple members of their young core of players.
One of those stars was wide receiver Malik Nabers, who had begun to establish himself as one of the top wideouts in the NFL before suffering a torn ACL against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Recently, newly minted Giants head coach John Harbaugh gave the latest update on Nabers’ recovery process heading into next season.
“He told me he plans to be here most of the time, almost all of the time… he’s making really good progress right now. I’m very hopeful that he’ll be back soon. But also understand that when you get back from a knee, he’ll be back, and then he’ll still be building,” said Harbaugh, per Ralph Vacchiano of FOX Sports on X, formerly Twitter.
At this point, it doesn’t seem that there is a clear timeline on when Nabers will be back in the fold for New York, but the team would be wise not to rush the star, considering the potential for re-injury risk if things unfold too quickly.
Nabers was largely a one-man show for the Giants in the wide receiver room last year prior to his injury, caputing the attention of the NFL world when he torched the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 of the season on the road. The Giants have signed some veterans to help out that unit this offseason, including Odell Beckham Jr., but Nabers still figures to be the star of the show once he returns from the injury.
