Outside linebacker Brian Burns, who came over to the New York Giants last March in a trade with the Carolina Panthers, has already made an impact on defense and in the locker room.
Burn has also made a financial impact, carrying the largest hit on the Giants’ salary cap ($29.74 million) this coming season.

Burns was traded to the Giants from Carolina along with a 2024 fifth-round pick in exchange for a 2025 fifth-round pick, 2024 second-round pick, and 2025 fifth-round pick.
The Giants then inked Burns to a five-year, $141 million extension, of which $87.5 million is guaranteed.
Burns had a solid season in 2024, tallying 71 total tackles (42 solo) and leading the team in tackles for a loss with 17. He also added 8.5 sacks, 61 pressures, and 18 quarterback hits.
