On Monday, March 17, the New Orleans Saints signed former Los Angeles Rams DE Jonah Williams to a one-year deal.

Williams was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Rams in 2020. He played in Los Angeles 3 different times (2020-2021, 2021-2023 and briefly in 2024). Also spending time in between with the Minnesota Vikings (twice) as well as the Detroit Lions.

He comes to New Orleans already familiar with new defensive coordinator Brandon Staley, from his first stint with the Rams as a rookie in 2020, when Staley was the Rams DC. Williams said he was excited and comfortable about the idea of playing for the Saints because of his previous relationship with Staley.
