Las Vegas Riders guard Atonio Mafi has stood out in training camp.

Mafi spent the 2023 season with the New England Patriots. He played in all 17 games and started five games as a rookie. He didn’t make the roster in 2024 and spent most of that season on the Indianapolis Colts’ practice squad, but he did appear in three games as a backup. The Colts cut him in May. The Raiders signed Mafi just before training camp started.
College:
Mafi went to UCLA and was drafted by the Patriots in the fifth round in 2023.
Fun fact:
He went to Serra High School in San Mateo, California. The same school that produced Tom Brady, the Raiders minority owner.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
After joining the team as camp was starting, Mafi has made a fast impression. He has even worked with the first team some. He has some NFL experience. He has a real chance to make the 53-man roster and be a trusted backup.
