The Las Vegas Raiders signed wide receiver Marquez Callaway.
Let’s take a closer look at Callaway:
Size:
6-1, 205 pounds.
NFL experience:
Callaway played for the New Orleans Saints from 2020-22. He’s been part of several programs since 2023, including a short stint with the Raiders in 2023 when he was on the practice squad for six weeks at the start of the season, but he hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2022. He did have 46 catches in 2021.
College:
Callaway went to Tennessee. The Saints signed him as an undrafted free agent.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
Callaway, 27, has to be considered a real longshot to make the Raiders’ 53-man roster later this month. He hasn’t made an NFL roster in three years and he’s not young anymore in terms of the league. He replaced Kawaan Baker on the roster. Like when Baker signed last week, Callaway has to be considered a longshot to make the 53-man roster.
