Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson has missed the last two games with a hyperextended knee. The star stated that is going to play when the Jets take on the Browns in Week 10 action.
The Jets might have had their best offensive game of the season without Wilson in their Week 8 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but this offense needs Wilson. The Jets won’t be up against a defense like Cincinnati every week. The offense added a couple of young wide receivers via trade, but Wilson remains the only proven target at the position.
Cleveland had a talented defensive line. We all know about Justin Fields’ struggles when under pressure. Wilson is only a part of any plan to help Fields overcome the Browns pass rush. Jets blockers and Fields himself need to deliver. With that said, having the one receiver he can trust to get open will hopefully give Fields a place he can go with the ball when in doubt.
