Game balls for the Broncos 28-3 win over the Bengals
Mile High Report Mile High Report

The Denver Broncos steamrolled the Cincinnati Bengals on Monday Night Football. Instead of a competitive football game, the national audience received an education on just how good the Broncos offense and defense could be in 2025. While we still hope to see this against elite tier teams, good teams still dominate the bad teams and that is what Denver did on Monday night.

With such an impressive performance, we’re going to be short game balls in this one. The late night didn’t help either! That said, we’ve covered a lot of the offense, at least. I think we were all hungry to see a strong offensive performance and were glad to see it. That said, the defense gave up three points and is deserving of a game ball for that alone.

Here are Mile High Report’s game balls!

Bo Nix

There was a moment in the second quarter when I thought Bo Nix and the offense was going to start to disappoint. It came right after a pretty ugly interception in the end zone on a fourth down with a chance to go up 21-3. That kind of thing often leads to a reversal in fortunes for the Broncos over the last two seasons, but instead, it ignited a fire under Nix and the offense. He would come back right down the field in less than 90 seconds and fire in a touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton to ensure they were up 21-3 at halftime anyway. All told, Nix dominated this game with 326 yards passing and 3 total touchdowns. That really bad interception — a distant memory. – Tim Lynch

Garett Bolles

Garett Bolles has been one of the most consistent and reliably great offensive tackles in the league this year, and tonight was no exception. He gave Nix an incredible amount of time tonight to pass, and he was solid in the run game. I can’t recall a single blown block from Monday night. And a shout out to him for blocking two guys on one play ran to the boundary. What a stud. The best fine-wine in the NFL. Aged to perfection. – Ross Allen

RJ Harvey

RJ Harvey had his biggest game yet for the Broncos. The rookie RB racked up 58 rushing yards on 14 carries, and 40 receiving yards with a TD to ice the game. His 12 yard touchdown with 4:58 left in the game was what finally allowed Broncos Country to exhale. On the TD, Harvey found himself all alone and Bo Nix made the easy pass. It resulted in Harvey’s first career TD. He played the perfect complementary role to JK Dobbins. – Adam Malnati

JK Dobbins

JK Dobbins just became the first Broncos running back to rush for 100 yards or more in 38 games. He’s the first running back to hit 100 yards rushing in Sean Payton’s time in Denver. And Dobbins looked really good doing it, too. Dobbins finished with 16 carries for 101...
