Future HOF quarterback set to hit the market

It isn’t often that a future Hall of Fame quarterback is available in the NFL. Oh wait, maybe it is. Last season, the Pittsburgh Steelers brought in Russell Wilson who will be in the HOF someday. However, that didn’t exactly work out as the team sits in February of 2025 and soon to let Wilson leave in free agency after a disappointing season.

But perhaps the Steelers could roll the dice on another aging Hall of Famer. On Thursday, the New York Jets announced they had informed Rodgers they were moving in a different direction at quarterback. This means the former Jets and Packers quarterback will be free to sign elsewhere. Could that elsewhere be the Steelers?

We’ve made it clear that we don’t want to see the Steelers pursue Rodgers but given Tomlin’s history of using bandaids to cover bullet holes since Ben Roethlisberger retired, we won’t be terribly shocked if he at least inquires about signing him.
