If the Denver Broncos are interested in adding to their offensive line, Purdue prospect Marcus Mbow is a Day 2 option they should consider.
Over the past two years, the Denver Broncos have made investing in their offensive line a priority under Head Coach Sean Payton. Last season the team had one of the best units in the league with respect to both run and pass blocking.
Over the course of the offseason, Payton and General Manager George Paton haven’t been shy expressing their willingness to add players to units that are already strengths. While I certainly don’t believe offensive line will get first-round consideration from the Broncos in the 2025 NFL Draft, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them add a player into the mix somewhere on Day 2.
One prospect for fans to make note of is Purdue standout Marcus Mbow. In his four-year career with the Boilermakers, he played in 36 games with 32 starts on their offensive line. In that time, he had experience manning down the right side playing both guard and tackle. However, some analysts believe his future could be at the pivot in the National Football League.
The Broncos allocated one of their formal visits with Mbow at this year’s NFL Combine, so it’s quite obvious there is some interest. He’s a versatile player who would provide them with depth and future starting potential at multiple positions. Let’s take a deeper look at Mbow’s strengths and weaknesses, and why and when the Broncos should consider adding him to their defensive line rotation in this year’s draft.
