Welcome back to BTSC’s Friday night open thread.
We’re at an interesting point of the calendar that sits between the Thanksgiving holiday and the December holidays of Christmas and Hanukkah. The Steelers also find themselves at a interesting period in the organizations history, as it feels like we’re rounding into the end of an era, where head coach Mike Tomlin might depart from the team after the season or at least at the end of his contract. With that in mind, here are this week’s questions:
- How was everyone’s Thanksgiving? Did you travel? Did you play host? Did you keep it quiet and lowkey with a small group or by yourself?
- What are everyone’s December plans? Are some you traveling anywhere? Are there any traditions you hold each December?
- If the Steelers decided to hire a new coach and gave you the power to choose the hire, do you have a name in mind? Or a list of qualities you hope the next coach has? Bonus points if you name an OC and DC too. Or tell me why it still needs to be Mike Tomlin (and don’t just say cuz the Steelers don’t move on from coaches, this is a hypothetical not a prediction).
- Would you rather the Steelers beat the Ravens and make the playoffs this year, or are you hoping the Steelers struggles continue if it leads to staff changes and a higher draft pick?
