We are just a few weeks away from the start of a new NFL season, and male NFL cheerleaders have completely stolen the show in the latter stages of the offseason.

The Minnesota Vikings showcased the upcoming 2025 season’s new cheer squad with an Instagram video that prominently featured their male dancers.

The New Orleans Saints announced that 12 men will join their cheerleading squad for the 2025 season. The Los Angeles Rams were reportedly the first team to introduce a mixed-gender cheerleading group in 2018.

2025 has more male dancers than ever before, and it has brought a ton of backlash.

Fox News host Will Cain is just the latest to call out the practice.

Cain, a former ESPN Radio host who has since gotten his own show on Fox News, expressed his opinion on male NFL dancers.

Appearing on Fox News’ “Saturday Night With Jimmy Failla” on Saturday, the Dallas Cowboys fan had one main issue with the men. Cain stated that the cheerleaders are not typical male dancers. Instead, they are males dressing up as female cheerleaders.

“I don’t have anything on male cheerleaders,” he said.

“There is something different with what’s going on in the NFL cheerleaders. We’re talking about male cheerleaders being female cheerleaders.”

Minnesota Vikings cheerleader Blaize Shiek has already shown that he will fire back against any criticism that comes his way from being on the team.

Which Teams Have The Most Male Cheerleaders?

NFL fans have voiced their outrage after discovering that several NFL teams have male cheerleaders ahead of the upcoming season.

The Minnesota Vikings added two male dancers for 2025: Blaize Shiek and Louie Conn.

They are the most notable ones, but they are certainly not the only ones.

According to Outsports, 12 teams will reportedly have male cheerleaders on the squad during the 2025 season, up from seven teams in 2024.
