Former Titans Wideout Fuels Conspiracy Fire Surrounding Timing Of Will Levis Injury Update

Will Levis will miss the 2025 NFL season with the Tennessee Titans. Some are beginning to comment on the timing of the update on social media.

Former Titans wide receiver Nate Washington fueled a conspiracy fire with his reaction to the announcement. He says the decision was “intentional.”

Levis dealt with a shoulder injury throughout the 2024 campaign which hampered his ability to be successful on the field. Through 12 games as the team’s starter, he posted a 2-10 record while throwing 13 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.

Tennessee opted to use its latest first-round pick on a quarterback, selecting Cam Ward out of the University of Miami with the first overall choice. It looks like he will now have the keys to the offense in his rookie year.

Will Levis is undergoing season-ending surgery.

The passer will not play in 2025. Instead, he’ll spend the year recovering from surgery in hopes of fixing his prior setback.

The news comes less than two months from the season opener. It should all but end any speculation on the team’s starting signal caller come Week 1 vs. Denver.

The Titans released a statement on the injury and surgery via social media on Monday. They made sure to state that the decision was on the quarterback.

“We support his decision to focus on his long-term health,” the Titans said. “He approached the offseason with professionalism and showed clear growth as a leader. We remain confident in his full recovery.”

That fact was further backed up by Turron Davenport of ESPN.

It should be noted this is Will Levis’ decision. The Titans are merely supporting it. Levis won’t be with the team when they report tomorrow. His surgery is scheduled for July 29.

Nate Washington questions the timing of the announcement.

The news comes one day before the team reports for training camp. Washington, who played six seasons with the franchise, found that odd.

“That Levis decision/timing was intentional!” he wrote on X. “Not gonna get me to believe anything else…”

Washington wants to know why Will Levis waited so long to come to his decision. Did it have something to do with his spot on the depth chart? Was he being beaten out by Cam Ward? Was he given a fair shake?

Washington continued his line of questioning while going back and forth with social media users. “If it ain’t healing, why participate in all offseason activities?!” he asked.

Unfortunately, questions are all we have at this point in regard to the decision-making. Conspiracists believe there was a reason for the timing.
