A former NFL player was among a few hundred individuals arrested in a massive human trafficking sting.
According to police, 255 people, including 36 immigrants, were taken into custody as part of the operation in Florida last month. Adarius Taylor, who played in the NFL for seven years, was one of them.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office noted that the former NFL linebacker was busted in “Operation Fool Around and Find Out,” having attempted to solicit a prostitute.

Apart from the charges relating to prostitution, Taylor was also hit with a negligence child abuse charge as he took his six-year-old to the site with him and left her in the car on her own while he went inside.
“Obviously he must have hit one too many people as a linebacker, because his brain cells are scrambled,” Sheriff Grady Judd said.
The child was taken into protective custody and handed over to the Florida Department of Children and Families.
“The retired defender was among the 255 people — including 36 illegal immigrants — busted in the nine-day police operation between May 2 and May 10 in the Sunshine State,” The New York Post reported.
Taylor was reportedly charged with felony negligent child abuse without bodily harm and misdemeanor solicitation of prostitution.
The operation yielded the aforementioned 255 arrests, with 141 people getting charged with soliciting prostitutes while 93 were charged with offering to commit prostitution.
Ten of the people arrested were charged with other related offenses, such as aiding and abetting or transporting prostitutes, with 11 charged with traveling to meet a minor for sex and other child sex crimes.
