Pittsburgh Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey has been highly criticized for his play against the Baltimore Ravens.
The Pittsburgh Steelers got the job done in Week 18, defeating the Baltimore Ravens 26-24 in a wild finish. However, some believe the game was a lot closer than it should have been thanks to one player.
Former Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell heavily criticized the play of defensive back Jalen Ramsey, who played a role in a couple of blown coverages throughout the night.
“just IMAGINE if Jalen Ramsey actually had ball skills .. that would’ve been PICKED!!!!! wtf,” Bell posted on X.

Despite Ramsey playing a role in giving up two 50+ yard touchdowns to Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers, Bell seems to be referencing tight end Isaiah Likely’s fourth-down catch with just 21 seconds left in the game.
Pittsburgh could have ended the game right then and there if Ramsey had been able to come over top of Likely and break up the ball, at the least.
That isn’t how things played out, though. Likely was able to make a circus catch, setting Baltimore up for a potentially game-winning field goal.
Luckily, Ravens rookie kicker Tyler Loop missed the 44-yard attempt, but some, like Bell, are not pleased it even came to that point.
Ramsey has been in the midst of making a position change from cornerback to safety this season. However, it’s safe to assume the Steelers were expecting a bit better play from him, especially in big moments like Sunday night.
Pittsburgh traded three-time first-team All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Miami Dolphins this offseason to acquire Ramsey, but he has only been able to record one interception this year.
Ramsey still provides the Steelers with the best option at safety heading into the playoffs, but they are going to need him to play much better against the red-hot Houston Texans on Monday Night Football.
