Former New England Patriots wide receiver K.J. Osborn landed a new opportunity. The Atlanta Falcons announced on Monday that they have signed Osborn to their practice squad.
Osborn signed with the Patriots in March 2024 and appeared in seven games for New England that season, recording seven receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown.
However, Osborn didnβt make it a full season on the active roster with the Patriots, who waived him on Dec. 10. The Washington Commanders claimed him off waivers, where he appeared in one game last season.
Osborn entered the NFL with the Vikings in 2020 and played four seasons in Minnesota before joining the Patriots.
The Falcons need receiving help, with starting wide receiver Drake London recovering from a PCL sprain in his left knee. London missed Sundayβs game against the New Orleans Saints, but there is a chance he could return soon.
The Falcons have a 4-7 record, but with the NFC South not having a dominant team, with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers sitting atop the division with a 6-5 record, the division is still wide open.
Atlanta could end up using Osborn sometime this season and could contribute on a team still trying to make the playoffs.
