The Las Vegas Raiders fired senior offensive assistant Bob Bicknell on Monday.
Las Vegas suffered a disappointing 24-10 home loss to the Cleveland Browns. It was another lackluster offensive performance, and now the team let Bicknell go after also firing offensive coordinator Chip Kelly, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
“The Raiders fired senior offensive assistant Bob Bicknell, per source,” Pelissero wrote on X on Monday. “He was Chip Kelly’s right-hand man. Now, both gone.”
Bicknell served as the Patriots’ tight ends coach in 2024 under Mayo, lasting just one season in New England as the team let him go among other assistants.
After being let go by the Patriots, Bicknell was hired by the Raiders to help Kelly run the offense, which was a major disappointment, which led to Kelly and Bicknell getting fired.
“I spoke with Chip Kelly earlier this evening and informed him of his release as offensive coordinator of the Raiders,” Raiders head coach Pete Carroll wrote in a statement. “I would like to thank Chip for his service and wish him all the best in the future.”
With the loss, the Raiders fell to 2-9 on the season and will go on the road to play the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
As for the Patriots, New England picked up a 26-20 road win over the Cincinnati Bengals to improve to 10-2. The Patriots will host the New York Giants in Week 13 on Dec. 1.
