Former New York Giants star running back Tiki Barber is done at CBS and will begin a new broadcast role with his former team.
On Wednesday, the NFC East club announced that Tiki Barber will now work as a co-host for pre-game and post-game shows on WFAN, the Giants’ flagship radio station. Barber will be joined by John Schmeelk of Giants.com, with Bob Papa, Howard Cross and Carl Banks retaining their in-game broadcast positions.
Barber has hosted the popular “Evan & Tiki” radio program on WFAN since 2022. The extended gig at WFAN for the Giants all but confirms that Barber is done at CBS, too.
Tiki Barber worked as a game analyst on CBS Sports from 2019 to 2024. He was paired with play-by-play man Andrew Catalon and analyst Jason McCourty, but Charles Davis will replace Barber and work with those two.
Jim Nantz and Tony Romo remain the network’s No. 1 team, with Ian Eagle and former Houston Texans superstar defensive end JJ Watt serving as his analyst. The other pairings are Kevin Harlan-Trent Green and Spero Dedes-Adam Archuleta.
The 2025 NFL season kicks off on Sept. 4, with the Philadelphia Eagles beginning their Super Bowl defense against the Dallas Cowboys. CBS’ first slate of NFL Sunday games will be on Sept. 7, highlighted by Detroit Lions-Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans-Los Angeles Rams showdowns.
Barber, who spent his entire 10-year career (1997 to 2006) with the Giants, is the franchise’s leading rusher by a country margin. He racked up 10,449 yards, with Rodney Hampton a distant second at 6,897.
Barber’s 55 rushing touchdowns are the second-most in history, behind only two-time Super Bowl champion Brandon Jacobs (60).
