Former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson is asking for help and prayers this Sunday.
Johnson left the league after 11 seasons, leaving a career he can look back on proudly. He was the No. 1 overall pick in 1996 and enjoyed a storied metier.
A Super Bowl winner with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Johnson also played for the New York Jets, Dallas Cowboys and the Carolina Panthers.
The three-time Pro Bowler had an incredible career, as noted above. But his family experienced an unthinkable tragedy when his daughter passed away in 2021.
One of his friends is currently going through a similar situation, although the gravity remains unknown.
Johnson took to X on Sunday to ask for assistance, with his friend’s daughter having gone missing in Phoenix last month.
“My friend’s daughter is missing. If anyone has any info then please call the number in the picture or call Phoenix PD directly. Thanks,” he wrote, adding a praying hands emoji.
The situation must be especially troubling for the former Buccaneers star, given what his family endured a few years ago.
His eldest daughter, Maia, died at the age of 25 in 2021. She was his first child with ex-wife, Shikiri.
He announced her passing via the same platform back the, prompting an outpouring of support.
His friend’s daughter has been missing since December 26.
We pray that she’s found.
