Dan Orlovsky details why Sanders is a perfect fit in Cleveland

Current NFL Analyst and former 12-year NFL veteran Dan Orlovsky went into detail about Shedeur Sanders and his fit in Cleveland’s offense in a roundtable alongside Mike Greenberg, Chris Canty, and Peter Schrager.

“He’s perfect for the under center, play-action, control the line of scrimmage — get from 1,2,3, he’s got to do it more quickly, but he’s custom-made for that,” Orlovsky said.

One of Sanders’ biggest question marks coming out of the pre-draft process was his ability to process and see things quickly or at an NFL pace. Orlovsky thinks that at the very least, Sanders has shown in practice that he’s doing okay in that category so far.

“The way that he thinks, the way that he can see something on the board, take it to a walkthrough, and then bring it to a practice...that’s seeing very quickly.”

Yes, Orlovsky is a former pro and knows what to look for when it comes to a young quarterback’s skillset, but it's not hard to see from a fan standpoint that Sanders has been doing very well this offseason.

His ball placement has been top-notch; he just needs to focus on getting the ball from point A to point B with more velocity. He’s floated some balls unnecessarily that have been close to getting broken up or intercepted in practice.

It’s going to be extremely interesting to see how he performs when the pads come on soon.
