Former NFL star quarterback Cam Newton was disrespected by a rival team in a 7-on-7 football league, but the 2015 MVP winner let the scoreboard do most of the talking in oh-so-sweet revenge.
Cam Newton coaches a 7-on-7 youth football team, C1N, which refers to his initials and iconic jersey number. Since the Auburn product created the team in 2011, C1N has won five national championships and 25 tournaments.
Before one of C1N’s recent football games, cameras caught an opposing team gathering at midfield and disrespecting Newton by stomping on one of his Auburn jerseys. Little did they know that this wouldn’t at all age well:
Yikes: A group of kids stomped on the legendary Cam Newton’s jersey to celebrate after beating his team in a tournament…
😳😳😳
Extremely disrespectful to the former MVP.

C1N went on to crush their opponents 38-17, and cameras caught Newton getting the last laugh by asking the opponents where his jersey was:
Florida’s top-ranked 7v7 team stomped on Cam Newton’s jersey, then got smoked 38-17. 😮💨

Everyone who has played competitive sports knows that stomping on the home team’s logo (be it in football, hockey, soccer, baseball, or basketball) is considered a sign of “disrespect.” If you’re gonna do it, you gotta be prepared for the consequences.
But stomping on a specific player’s jersey is another level of disrespect, so good on Newton and his players for letting the scoreboard serve as their revenge.
Newton spent 11 seasons in the NFL (2011 to 2021), winning MVP honors in 2015 after leading Carolina to a 15-1 season and Super Bowl 50 appearance. He threw for 32,382 yards and 194 touchdowns to go along with 5,628 rushing yards and 75 rushing scores.
Unfortunately, injuries largely derailed Newton at the end of his career. He was injured for much of the 2018 season, missed all but two games in 2019 and then experienced a tough 2020 campaign with the New England Patriots. The struggling Panthers brought Newton back in 2021, but he went 0-5 as a starter with four touchdowns against five picks.
