Baylor quarterback Sawyer Robertson has officially accepted an invitation to take part in the 2026 Senior Bowl, the first quarterback to do so.
Robertson, 22, was a redshirt senior for the Bears this season. The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Lubbock, Texas native spent three seasons Baylor after transferring from Mississippi State.
All of his 27 collegiate starts came with the Bears, after he transferred in advance of the 2023 season. He filled in as a backup in 2023 and then became the Baylor starter ahead of the 2024 season.
In 12 games in 2024, Robertson threw for 3,071 yards, 28 touchdowns, eight interceptions and led the Bears to an 8-5 record. This season, Robertson’s numbers improved while Baylor’s fate turned. He threw for 3,681 yards and 31 touchdowns, leading the Big 12 in both categories, but the Bears finished 5-7 by losing five of their final six games and declined a bowl bid.
According to the NFL Mock Draft Database big board, Robertson is currently the No. 201 prospect in the 2026 NFL Draft class, which would put him in the sixth round. He’s the 15th-highest-rated quarterback on the board.
Robertson has one thing the Pittsburgh Steelers really like, and that’s pro bloodlines. His father Stan Robinson was a first-round pick of the Montreal Expos and also played college football at Texas Tech, while his cousin is current Denver Broncos quarterback Jarrett Stidham.
The 2026 Senior Bowl will be held at Hancock-Whitney Stadium in Mobile, Alabama on Saturday, Jan. 31, with kickoff set for 12:30 p.m. on NFL Network.
