Training camp season has arrived in Foxborough, and so has the first group of New England Patriots. Starting on Tuesday, drafted and undrafted rookies as well as select veterans including the team’s quarterbacks have begun reporting to camp.
Headlined by starting quarterback Drake Maye and first-round draft pick Caleb Lomu, upwards of 25 players are scheduled to report to Gillette Stadium.
The arrivals will go through physical examination and classroom training before hitting the practice fields alongside the rest of the Patriots’ active roster on Saturday.
The Players listed here were all picked by the Patriots in the 2026 NFL Draft. In total, the team brought in nine players in late April’s selection meeting.
With the exception of second-rounder Gabe Jacas the entire group has signed its rookie contracts and is therefore eligible to participate in training camp without any restrictions. Jacas, meanwhile, will be in the spotlight the coming days. Under normal circumstances, however, a resolution to his apparent contract stalemate should be expected sooner rather than later — similar to what happened with fellow second-rounder TreVeyon Henderson in 2025.
The players listed here all signed with the Patriots as rookie free agents. In total, 14 of the UDFAs brought aboard after the draft currently remain on the 90-man roster and will get a chance to prove themselves over the coming weeks.
Historically, the Patriots have not shied away from giving UDFAs opportunities over the course of the summer. Just last year, two of them — wide receiver Efton Chism and outside linebacker Elijah Ponder — made the team out of training camp. This year, running back Myles Montgomery, tight end Tanner Arkin, offensive linemen JonDarius Morgan and Jacob Rizy, and linebacker Khalil Jacobs look like the most realistic candidates to follow in their footsteps.
In total, the Patriots will have four fewer rookies at training camp than last year.
