Mike McDaniel might be on the hot seat. On Sunday afternoon, the Miami Dolphins got embarrassed by Daniel Jones and the Indianapolis Colts on the road, 33-8.
After the game, McDaniel said he believed that his players were distracted by all “the bells and whistles” of the start of the NFL season.
“Yeah, I think in the National Football League when you’re minus three plus turnover on downs.You run into issues across the board that’s not a formula and so that formula is for failure nothing else, and I think there was a lot of preparation for week one and I don’t think it looked it.”
“What does that mean? That means the guys let Week 1, um…and the bells & whistles of season starting get the best of them. My job is to prevent you know I did my best, not good enough.”
Dolphins fans weren’t interested in McDaniel’s explanation and want him fired from the team.
“1 game in, yes, but I’d fire Mike McDaniel,” said one Dolphins fan on social media.
“Fire McDaniel, fire Grier, trade everyone. The dolphins are not getting any views from me this year,” said another fan.
After week 1, the Dolphins look like the worst team in the NFL, and if McDaniel doesn’t turn things around soon, he could be out of a job before the season is over.
