Field Gulls will be going to VMAC and Lumen Field for this year’s Seahawks training camp.
Seattle Seahawks training camp is just about here! The first public practice is July 23, and the final practice fans can attend is Aug. 12, which is during the second week of Seattle’s preseason. There’s also a practice at Lumen Field as the centerpiece for its Football Fan Fest.
For the second year in a row, Field Gulls will be on-site and providing coverage for some of the practices.
At the moment, yours truly and HawksZone Rundown podcast host Bryce Coutts will be attending the Friday, Aug. 1 practice at team headquarters in Renton, as well as the Lumen Field practice on Saturday, Aug. 2.
There could be at least one more practice with a Field Gulls staffer in attendance but that’s TBD.

That said, we’ll see about any on-site game coverage down the line.
Not only will there be write-ups, there will be a special live podcast collaboration following at least one of the practices! Stay tuned for more details on the podcast front in a separate article because I promise you it’ll be fun.

2023 policy:
The use of audio or video recording devices during practice is strictly forbidden, including camcorders or cellular phones with video capabilities. Videotaping, live streaming and blogging during practice is strictly prohibited.
2024 policy:
To protect the team, the use of cameras and cell phones are prohibited during practice. If you need to make a call, please visit the Fan Zone to do so. Cameras and cell phones will be permitted prior to and following the conclusion of practice.
2025 policy:
To protect the team, photos and videos are prohibited during the “Team Period” portion of practice. Prior to the “Team Period”, an announcement will be made via the PA system notifying fans when the team has entered this portion of practice. Photos and videos will be permitted prior to and following the designated “Team Period” portion of practice.
We’ll adhere to both fan and media guidelines even though we’re not credentialed. This means no live-blogging of practice, no super...
