Fantasy Football: 5 Best Fantasy Matchups for QBs this Week for Sleeper Starters
Sportsnaut Sportsnaut

There’s a loaded slate of NFL games tomorrow, with Sunday’s Week 10 NFL schedule including must-see matchups between the Baltimore Ravens vs. Minnesota Vikings and the New England Patriots vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, great games don’t necessarily mean fantastic fantasy football matchups. Today, we’re highlighting the five best fantasy matchups for quarterbacks this week.

With some of the league’s worst defenses (Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals) on the bye, there are other NFL stats and factors to consider for Week 10. Of note, we’re looking past the elite-tier of fantasy quarterbacks and instead focusing on some potential sleepers or those who could greatly exceed projections.

  1. Jared Goff, Detroit Lions vs Washington Commanders

We view Jared Goff as a top-three fantasy quarterback in Week 10. That’s because the Detroit Lions are taking on a defense that has been dreadful for more than a month now. Over the last eight games, opponents are averaging 265.6 passing yards and 2.5 passing touchdowns per game versus the Washington Commanders, all with a 70.8 percent completion rate and a 9.0 yards-per-attempt average. Washington can’t generate pressure and that’ll be a recipe for disaster in a game where Detroit will want to get Goff and this passing game going.

  1. C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Assuming C.J. Stroud (concussion) is cleared to play in Week 10, he draws a very favorable matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars. While we have very little faith in the Houston Texans offensive line, Jacksonville’s defense is averaging just 0.8 sacks per game in its last five contests. If Stroud can operate from a clean pocket even 70 percent of the time, he can exploit a secondary that has allowed 273.2 passing yards and 2.8 passing touchdowns per game in that five-game span.

  1. Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks vs Arizona Cardinals

Sam Darnold is demonstrating that last season was no fluke. The Seattle Seahawks quarterback boasts a 14-3 TD-INT line with a 71.3 percent completion rate in his last six games, averaging 10.2 yards per attempt with a 125.5 QB rating in that span. On Sunday, he faces an Arizona defense that has been very vulnerable against the pass in recent weeks, allowing a 100-plus QB rating or multiple touchdown passes. Darnold has top-six upside.

  1. Jaxson Dart, New York Giants vs Chicago Bears

We’d love Jaxson Dart even more as a fantasy football quarterback if this New York Giants offense had Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo. The Chicago Bears have been decimated by injuries defensively, resulting in a unit that has allowed 231.6 passing yards and 2.4 passing touchdowns per game with a 68.2 percent completion rate in the last few weeks. We’re not suggesting a four-touchdown or 300-yard game is coming from Dart, but this is a very favorable matchup with 250-plus yards and multiple touchdowns doable

  1. Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers ---------------------------------...
