We know the famous phrase, “Once a Raider, always a Raider.”
That is usually the catchphrase about alumni of the franchise, but there is some limits of course. Not everyone gets the “Once a Raider, always a Raider” treatment.
But it seems that is case when it comes to wide receiver Amari Cooper.
This week, the Raiders reunited with Cooper on one-year deal and the Las Vegas Raiders’ fan base is pretty excited about it.
We asked our community members how they felt about the team re-signing Cooper, their first-round pick in 2015 who was traded to Dallas seven years ago. In our pool, about 65 percent of our voters are excited to welcome back Cooper to the Silver and Black, while about 35 percent think Cooper, 31, is past his prime.
Cooper is a decent guy and while he may not be atop option this season, he should help. We’ll hear the “COOOOOP” chant at Allegiant Stadium this season.
