NFL fans are calling for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to investigate the league and the New Orleans Saints, and it’s all because of a bad throw by rookie quarterback Tyler Shough in practice.

The biggest surprise of the 2025 NFL Draft was the unexpected fall of Shedeur Sanders, the consensus No. 2 quarterback in this year’s class behind first overall pick Cam Ward (Tennessee Titans). Ward, Jaxson Dart (New York Giants), Tyler Shough, Jalen Milroe (Seattle Seahawks) and Dillon Gabriel (Cleveland Browns) were the QBs selected before Sanders, who went 144th overall to the Browns.

Doug Mouton of WWL-TV in New Orleans posted a video of Shough throwing an interception to Jordan Howden during Tuesday morning’s practice:

Fans had a lot to say after that video of Tyler Shough’s interception was posted. It included one call for the FBI to get involved and investigate the NFL and the Saints:

“This guy being drafted over Shadeur needs to be investigated by the FBI. Literally just search his name in the search bar if you need a laugh,” one fan said.

Tyler is battling with sophomore Spencer Rattler for the Saints’ starting quarterback job. Derek Carr unexpectedly announced his retirement with two years left on his contract, ensuring that the Saints will have a new starter come Week 1.

Shough transferred to Louisville for his final college season after two years at Texas Tech, completing 62.7 percent of pass attempts for 3,195 yards, 23 touchdowns and only six interceptions.

Tyler Shough Will Get Meaningful Playing Time In 2025

Saints head coach Kellen Moore is still deciding on his starting quarterback, and the final call may not be made until after the preseason. But even if Rattler is named the starter, it’s only a matter of time until Tyler Shough gets a look behind center.
