Still reeling from Monday night’s disappointing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Houston Texans have to turn the page quickly. With a short week to prepare, and travel to Jacksonville to face the Jaguars upcoming, there’s no time to lick the wounds or lament the mistakes.
The fine folks at Fanduel posted their opening odds and it looks like anyone’s game, despite the Texans having the better team on paper.
+1.5 is a normal give for a visiting team, meaning they view this game as up for grabs.
Their total points line has the Texans over/under at 21.5 and the Glitter Kitties at 22.5. Seeing as Houston has the NFL’s lowest scoring offense after two weeks, with only 28 points to show for 8 quarters of football, 21.5 is generous.
Houston’s point differential is only -6, however, so at least we don’t have the worst defense in the league to pair with the worst offense.
