With the 2025 NFL regular season just over two weeks away, plenty of analysts are rushing to get out their predictions for the upcoming season. Recently, we’ve made our game-by-game predictions for the Lions. ESPN has published a list of teams that may regress, and fantasy football sites all over the internet are ranking players based on their projected stats for the season.
While not directly fantasy football-related, the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook also offer their own projections for offensive skill players across the NFL, and the Detroit Lions have several players spread out across those categories. But before you rush over to FanDuel Sportsbook, they have an upcoming opportunity for Lions’ fans who want to maximize their wagers:
FanDuel Sportsbook is conducting FanDuel Futures Day on Tuesday, August 26, where you can get profit boost tokens around various futures markets throughout the day. The markets will be split up throughout the day, but they will include odds to win the Super Bowl and hypothetical Super Bowl matchups, odds to make or miss the playoffs, win totals, division winners, and player milestones. Head over to FanDuel Sportsbook on Tuesday to take advantage of FanDuel Futures Day.
For those who plan on taking advantage of this opportunity, here’s a list of all the Lions’ “players’ milestones” wagers you can use to plan ahead, keeping in mind there could be some slight changes to the odds as more fans place wagers.
Earlier this offseason, we ran an SB Nation Reacts survey asking Lions fans if they believed Goff would exceed his projected over/under passing totals of 3,875.5 passing yards and 27.5 passing touchdowns (at that time), and at least 83% of fans believed he would exceed both projections. As we mentioned in that post, Goff has exceeded 4500 passing yards and 30 passing touchdowns in each last two seasons, but with John Morton replacing Ben Johnson as offensive coordinator, it’s fair to speculate if those statistics are repeatable.
Like with Goff, we ran a similar SB Nation Reacts survey for St. Brown and his projected receiving totals for 2025—1075.5 receiving yards and 8.5 rushing touchdowns—and 92% of fans believed he’d reach the yardage totals, while 82% thought his touchdown totals were within reach. For what it’s worth, in each of the past two seasons, St. Brown has exceeded 1250 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns.
