Both Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift do not have the best relationship when it comes to Donald Trump.
The Kansas City Chiefs’ superstar tight end was reportedly furious with Trump over his personal attack on his girlfriend. In May, Trump took to his Truth Social account to call out Taylor Swift, saying she is “no longer HOT.”
The Daily Mail reported at the time that Kelce “is livid” over Trump’s comments on Swift. However, Travis Kelce planned to stay “quiet” on the matter.
Other league players like Nick Bosa, Harrison Butker, and Maxx Crosby like to be vocal about their political positions, with some even performing Trump’s infamous dance as NFL celebrations.
Now, both Kelce brothers as well as Taylor Swift may soon find themselves connected to Washington D.C. – not through politics of their own, but through a close professional tie.
Democratic candidate Peter Chatzky has entered the race for Congress in New York’s 17th District.
His campaign is receiving an early boost from his son, Jake Chatzky, who just happens to be the lead social media producer who works for the Kelce brothers’ popular podcast, New Heights.
Jake brought attention to his father’s campaign with a bold post on X, declaring: “HEALTHCARE IS A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT.”

To announce his campaign, the elder Chatzky wrote an op-ed for LoHud.com, sharing his family’s struggles with his son’s early health problems and criticizing the Republicans’ healthcare agenda.
‘[President Donald] Trump and his cronies in Congress have slashed Medicaid and limited our access to the Affordable Care Act,’ Chatzky wrote. ‘As many as 15 million Americans will lose coverage. It’s estimated there will be 51,000 preventable deaths a year.’
The Kelce family, as well as Taylor Swift, has been quiet about the campaign.
Swift took to X/Twitter in 2020 and told Trump he’d be voted out. She has been public enemy number one to him ever since.
In September, after the high-stakes debate with former President Donald Trump, Swift endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris’ presidential candidacy, calling the Democratic nominee a “steady-handed, gifted leader.”
“Has anyone noticed that, since I said ‘I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,’ she’s no longer ‘HOT?'” Trump spoke against her this year.
Trump has also gone out of his way to put a rift between Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes by constantly praising the latter.
Brittany received major backlash for liking a pro-Trump post ahead of the election, but she refused to apologize.
Prior to the Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles, the President of the United States made it clear several times that is was a fan of Patrick Mahomes’ wife, Brittany.
“I like Brittany, I think Brittany’s great,” Trump said. “That’s the one I like much better than Taylor Swift.”
