Falcons may be without their special teams ace on Sunday.
Thank goodness it’s Friday! The Atlanta Falcons and New York Giants both held their final day of practice and both teams have been heavily banged up this week. We have received game designations for both teams, so we now know who will play, won’t play, or their status for Sunday remains in question.
You can expect to normally see the injury reports here every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
QUESTIONABLE:
• WR KhaDarel Hodge (ribs)
• LB Lorenzo Carter (groin)
OUT:
• WR Casey Washington (concussion)
QUESTIONABLE:
• LB Dyontae Johnson (ankle)
• OL Austin Schlottman (fibula)
• CB Deonte Banks (rib)
• LB Brian Burns (ankle, neck)
• RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. (ankle)
DOUBTFUL:
• CB Greg Stroman Jr. (shoulder, shin)
OUT:
• LB Patrick Johnson (knee)
• LB Bobby Okereke (back)
• OL Aaron Stinnie (concussion)
For the Falcons, only three players are worth noting on Friday’s injury report. Wide receiver Casey Washington has been ruled out, as he remains in concussion protocol. The two other players, wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge and linebacker Lorenzo Carter, are questionable to play due to their respective injuries. Having Hodge inactive on Sunday would be a blow to the Falcons special teams unit, as he has been making a ton of key plays lately.
The Giants have ruled out three players for Sunday, linebackers Bobby Okereke and Patrick Johnson, and offensive lineman Aaron Stinnie. They do have some key players questionable to play this week, as linebacker Brian Burns and corner Deonte Banks will be worth monitoring heading into Sunday. Their roster is quite banged up.
