The Atlanta Falcons announced Saturday that they have activated defensive lineman Ta’Quon Graham to the active roster from the reserve/injured designated to return list. They also announced that cornerback Clark Phillips III has been placed on the reserve/injured list.

Graham was designated to return to practice on Oct. 7, and once that designation is made, the team had 21 days to evaluate his readiness and decide on the timing to put him back on the active roster.

Graham was drafted by the Falcons out of Texas in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. He has played in 49 games for the Falcons over his four-year career, starting 16. His most productive season was 2022, when he started nine games for Atlanta, finishing with 34 tackles, one tackle for loss, eight quarterback hits, and a forced fumble and a 19-yard recovery. Last season, he played 17 percent of the Falcons’ defensive snaps and 9.5% of the special teams snaps.

Phillips, a fourth-round pick out of Utah in 2023, has played in 28 games for the Falcons over the years, starting seven. So far this season he’s played nine special teams snaps, which is about 7 percent of the total special teams snaps this season. He’s been dealing with rib and triceps injuries in addition to being sick this past week.

Safety Jordan Fuller was also designated to return from IR earlier this week, officially opening his 21-day window. He was limited in practice on Wednesday, but was able to participate in full practice on Thursday and Friday, so I won’t be surprised if he is back on the active roster sooner rather than later.
