Well folks, we’ve almost made it. As I write this, I’m sitting in the media room up at Flowery Branch for my first regular season media availability of 2025. In general, this has been a pretty encouraging offseason. I loved the energy we saw from the defense in the preseason. I’m excited to watch Michael Penix take over after a full season to prepare to be the starting quarterback. But we didn’t see many starters on the field in preseason, and there are still a lot of questions surrounding this team.

The main questions, for me at least, are Kaleb McGary and Storm Norton’s injuries and the impact they will have on the right tackle position. Behind that, the team has the personnel to rush the passer — but can they put it all together? We’ll get our first glimpse at those answers against the Buccaneers on Sunday.

I’d say my confidence level heading into the season is around a 60. I’m hoping we see a dominant performance on Sunday and our confidence is through the roof next week, but for now that’s where I’m sitting.
