Falcons NFL Mock Draft 2025: A Dawg mocked to the Falcons???

What do you think about this one, Georgia fans?

This one is for you, Dawgs fans.

Daniel Jeremiah has done the unthinkable: mocked a pass rusher who played down the road in Athens to the Falcons. Keep dreaming, Mr. Jeremiah.

University of Georgia EDGE Mykel Williams has been selected as the Dawg who will break a vicious, targeted, and downright despicable agenda against Georgia fans (even though Fontenot has drafted more players from Georgia than any other school).

Why Williams? For starters, he’s got that made-in-a-lab build, checking in at 6’5 and 265 pounds, paired with go-go gadget arms, and most importantly, HE PLAYS EDGE. Like most Georgia defenders, he’s been playing out of position/utilized in unique ways that won’t all be carried over to the next level. However, these roles have made him a better run defender, showcased his strength and length at the point of attack, and provided teams with an idea of how versatile he can be at the next level.

The most significant question mark surrounding Williams is his lack of production. College production, while important, is often overrated when projecting NFL success. In Williams’s case, we have to consider that he wasn’t allowed to be a consistent pass rusher off the edge and was tasked with dirty work and opening gaps for others to rush through in many passing situations. It has also been noted that Williams played through an injury last year, which honestly makes some of his performances even more impressive.

He definitely falls into that raw prospect category, which will give fans pause, but a raw project from Georgia is different from a raw prospect from Alcorn State. With Nate Ollie in the building, fans should feel much better about the team’s ability to develop and put their guys in a position to win.

The Atlanta Falcons desperately need a pass rusher, and they’ll take anyone they can get, even if it’s from that school in Athens. What other defenders do you believe can help the team at pick 15? Share your thoughts in the comments.
