Drake London is set to anchor the Falcons’ receiver room once again in 2026 and well into the future. Atlanta could be among the teams seeking additional depth this summer, though.
Olamide Zaccheaus played his first four seasons with the Falcons, and after three years spent elsewhere he is back in the fold. Jahan Dotson was also added in free agency this offseason, and he will look to serve as a regular on offense. The same is also true of third-round rookie Zachariah Branch.
Josh Kendall of The Athletic writes Atlanta’s depth beyond the quartet of London, Zaccheaus, Dotson and Branch is a question mark. As a result, he names receiver as a position to watch regarding an addition this summer. The onset of training camps around the league will no doubt bring about a number of veteran signings. The Falcons could be in the market for an experienced depth option at the WR spot, depending on how their younger options fare in camp.
Atlanta has Chris Blair and Dylan Drummond in the fold. Both were in the organization last season, but much of their time was spent on the practice squad. Neither can be considered a roster lock as such, and Kendall names undrafted rookie Cash Jones as a candidate to carve out a spot this summer. In any case, the team’s new front office will have a number of options to consider on the open market.
Brandon Aiyuk is expected to be released soon, although the Commanders are widely seen as his eventual destination. Other available receivers include the likes of Stefon Diggs, DeAndre Hopkins, Keenan Allen and Deebo Samuel. Adding a veteran to the mix could give Atlanta an experienced complement to London and lessen the need for Branch to make an immediate impact during his rookie campaign.
The Falcons currently sit near the league lead in terms of cap space with over $27MM available. Finances will not be an issue if they look to bring in receiver help during training camp as a result.
