NFL fans noticed the same concerning thing about Aaron Rodgers after the Pittsburgh Steelers posted his team portrait on X/Twitter.

After pondering his options for three months, the 41-year-old Rodgers put retirement on hold and officially signed a one-year contract with the Steelers last week worth up to $19.5 million.

On Friday, the Steelers shared Rodgers’ team portrait in an X post. At first glance, all would appear normal, right?

Rodgers will make his Steelers debut on Sept. 7, when they travel to MetLife Stadium to take on his old team, the New York Jets. Fittingly, the Jets’ starting quarterback will be former Steeler Justin Fields.

Aaron Rodgers Gives Steelers The QB Upgrade They Need

Rodgers joins a Steelers team that made the postseason in 2023 and 2024 despite mediocre quarterback play from the likes of Mitch Trubisky, Kenny Pickett, Mason Rudolph and Russell Wilson.

Pittsburgh hasn’t won a playoff game since the 2016 season, but they’re banking on the four-time league MVP to break that streak and lead them to a seventh Lombardi Trophy. On a disappointing Jets team last year, he threw for 3,897 yards and 28 touchdowns against 11 interceptions.

If Rodgers can put up a similar statline, that would make him the best Steelers’ QB since Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement. Surely, that would be good enough to get Pittsburgh back into the postseason.
