Free agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers was seen having the time of his life at a concert in Austin, Texas, as fans await an announcement on his future.

The New York Jets released Aaron Rodgers in March following a miserable 2024 season and signed Justin Fields to replace him. Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers have held contract discussions since his release, and it’s believed that it’s either Steel City or retirement for the four-time MVP.

While Rodgers continues to ponder his future, the four-time MVP was seen partying at a Mike Stud concert in Austin. The latter is a popular American rapper known for hit songs such as “i don’t wanna party” and “College Humor.”

Cameras caught Aaron Rodgers squirting a water gun into the crowd while Mike Stud performed in front of a boisterous fanbase:

Rodgers continues to make frequent public appearances as a free agent, but it’s anybody’s guess when the future Hall of Famer will make his decision. He previously mentioned on the Pat McAfee Show that he was dealing with “personal commitments,” a “serious relationship,” and people in his “inner circle battling difficult stuff.”

The Steelers don’t appear to be in a rush to get an answer, either, as head coach Mike Tomlin and owner Art Rooney II have publicly expressed optimism that he’ll sign.

In 2024, Rodgers completed 63.0 percent of pass attempts for 3,897 passing yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. The Jets finished 5-12, Rodgers’ worst single-season record as a starting quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers Would Give The Steelers A Much-Needed Upgrade At Quarterback

The Steelers have been held back by lackluster quarterback play since 2018, Ben Roethlisberger’s last healthy season. And yet, they haven’t finished below .500 once under coach Tomlin and qualified for the postseason in 2020, 2021, 2023 and 2024.

If Aaron Rodgers came to Pittsburgh, he would immediately give them their best quarterback in seven years. Rodgers wouldn’t have to play at a high level for Pittsburgh to compete, either, given their offensive weapons (D.K. Metcalf, Jaylen Warren and Pat Freiermuth) and top-10 defense.
