It didn’t take long for fans to begin dumping on the officials after the Ravens-Steelers game kicked off on Sunday night.

The teams are vying for the AFC North title in a win-or-go-home situation, so there’s no understating the importance of the contest.

Fans are hoping for fair calls, or at least ones where they could see how a ref could get it wrong. One particular play set them off in the first quarter.

On the very first play of from scrimmage, Derrick Henry broke off a massive run to get the Ravens rolling.

However, an illegal blindside block call on Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers wiped out the big play for the visiting team. If you watch the clip below, you can see why fans disagreed with the call.

“It’s every time the Ravens + Steelers play,” someone commented.

“They got away with a hold on Ramsey 2 plays later for a first down it will all sort itself,” a fan predicted.

There was another controversial call before the end of the quarter, so he was probably right.

The refs called a roughing the passer penalty on defensive end Yahya Black despite replays showing him being tripped before he fell into Lamar Jackson.

Sunday night’s flags all came after one of the most shocking of the season, as it saw Colts star Alec Pierce ejected for nothing.
