For every story you see these days about new North Carolina Tar Heels head coach Bill Belichick, you seemingly also see one about his 24-year-old girlfriend Jordan Hudson. Hudson and Belichick, who is 42 years her elder, reportedly met in February 2021 while Hudson was a college student. Their relationship because public in June of 2024 and they made it public late last year.
Of course, Belichick has become a the butt of several jokes due to the significant age difference between the two. At the 2025 NFL Honors, Snoop Dogg joked that he’s been a football fance since “back when the Cowboys was good,” “back when the Chiefs was bad” and “I remember, what was it — Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet?”
Hudson and Belichick seem to have taken the jokes in stride. But now even Belichick’s former star quarterback Tom Brady is getting in on the fun.
Brady recently sat down with Caleb Pressley of Barstool Sports as part of his Sundae Conversation series. During the interview(6:42 mark of the video above), Pressley asked Brady “If Bill Belichick’s girlfriend needed it, would you rent a car for her?’
Hudson, of course, cannot rent a car without paying a “young renters fee” until she is 25 years of age. Brady began to crack up before answering that he would not want any liability in that case. But even Tom Brady, who is seemingly one of the most serious people on the planet, couldn’t help but laugh at the fact that his 72-year-old former head coach is dating a 24-year-old woman.
Look, Belichick and Hudson seem to be very happy with one another. They are both consenting adults who can make their own decisions regarding romantic partners. But it will never not be funny that perhaps the NFL’s greatest ever coach is dating someone a third of his age.
